New Delhi: The OPD benefit has become very popular in the health insurance coverage offered by employers, according to this year’s Annual Benefits Scorecard study by the Mumbai-based Prudent Insurance Brokers. Adoption of the OPD benefit has grown nearly 35% year-on-year, while the median OPD cover has increased from Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000, the study reveals. The study is based on data from 3,900 companies covering more than 50 lakh employees across 14 industry sectors.
