BALCONES HEIGHTS, Texas — A Balcones Heights police lieutenant is under fire after allegedly tampering with evidence more than two years ago, according to an arrest affidavit.
Documents show that Theodore Matthew Herrera was arrested Monday, charged with tampering with evidence/fabricating physical evidence with intent to impair.
According to the affidavit, Herrera destroyed marijuana and a pipe during the course of an investigation back on Oct. 3, 2023. The documents did not offer any specific details related to this incident.
Herrera was booked in the Bexar County jail. Jail records show that he was released on a $10,000 bond.
