BRAINERD, Minn.- The road to the Prep Bowl officially kicked off on Thursday evening for four local football teams, who made the final eight in their respective classes.

In Class AAAA, Grand Rapids handled Benilde-St. Margaret’s 54 to 7 to move on to the semifinals.

The Thunderhawks will next face Kasson-Mantorville on November 14th at 11:30 AM at U.S. Bank Stadium.

In AA, Moose Lake/Willow River had a chance at revenge against Eden Valley-Watkins in the quarterfinals. But like in 2023, the Eagles once again were victorious, 30 to 14.

In 9-man action, Cook County falls in their first state tournament appearance since 2007, 49 to 0 to Kittson County Central.

And in the same bracket, Cromwell-Wright sees their season end once again by Fertile-Beltram
