The Golden State Warriors were extremely shorthanded on Wednesday night against the Sacramento Kings, ultimately dropping the game 121-116 to fall to 5-4 this season heading into Friday’s NBA Cup matchup with the Denver Nuggets.
Golden State was missing Stephen Curry, who is dealing with an illness, Jimmy Butler, sidelined with a lower back strain, and Draymond Green, who's out with a right rib contusion.
Looking ahead to their matchup against Denver, the Warriors have already made a key decision on Curry’s status, officially ruling him out due to the illness that has lingered for several days. He appeared clearly unwell during his postgame press conference on Tuesday following Golden State’s win over the Phoenix Suns.
