JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — For Abbey Havre, the fight against Alzheimer’s is personal. She walks for her grandmother, who lives with the disease. For Reese Dickerson, it’s also close to home. He walks for his mother and grandmother.

No matter who they walk for, participants share the same mission: to help end Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia.

People across Northeast Florida can join Havre and Dickerson for the Walk to End Alzheimer’s Jacksonville on Sunday, Nov. 9, at the University of North Florida’s J.B. Coxwell Amphitheater in Jacksonville. Registration begins at 1 p.m., followed by an opening ceremony at 2 p.m. The walk will take place immediately afterward.
