FARGO — Airports across the country will soon see a reduction in flights, as directed by the Federal Aviation Administration, due to the government shutdown.
The changes will officially take place starting Friday, Nov. 7, and the effects could trickle down to runways across North Dakota.
The airports that will see the most impact will be those with the most air traffic, such as O’Hare in Chicago, Minneapolis-St. Paul and Dallas-Fort Worth.
However, all those airports serve flights that come out of North Dakota, and experts want to make sure travelers are prepared for anything.
With the holiday travel season around the corner, the FAA is reducing the number of flights taking to the skies.
