FORT TOTTEN, N.D. — The body of a missing Devils Lake woman was recovered from water on Thursday, Nov. 6, according to Spirit Lake tribal officials.
A feather alert was issued Sunday, Nov. 2, by the Bureau of Indian Affairs after Danica “Tynee” White, 20, a Spirit Lake Tribe member, was reported missing .
According to the alert, White was last seen at 6 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 1, near Fort Totten.
According to a release posted on the Spirit Lake Tribe’s Facebook page, White’s body was discovered and recovered from water just before 3 p.m. Thursday. The five-day search for White involved local, state and federal agencies, the release said.
