ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A man has been living in a vacant home on Potomac Street for months, prompting multiple complaints from neighbors who say he has been causing disturbances and using racial slurs.

Camera footage captured the man three times making offensive comments. Neighbors say Joshua Brewster has been squatting in the vacant property since around New Year’s Day.

“Police have been informed, and they said they can’t do anything because he’s been there for longer than 30 days, he’s getting mail, he’s getting deliveries, he had medicine accidentally delivered to our house,” said Kage Black, who lives next door.

Black said his elderly neighbor moved out at the beginning of 2024. The property sat vacant until winter.
