If there was one area Purdue struggled in during its 82-51 rout of Evansville on Tuesday, it was defensive rebounding.
The Purple Aces crashed the offensive glass all night in the season-opener at Mackey Arena, pulling down 20 rebounds on that end of the floor and collecting 20 second-chance points to only 12 of each for Purdue.
The No. 1 Boilermakers (1-0) will try to fix that issue tonight when they take on Oakland of the Horizon League in West Lafayette. For coach Matt Painter, the key to improving on it is getting more physicality from the center pairing of Oscar Cluff and Daniel Jacobsen.
