SZA has admitted she found Nicki Minaj's recent comments about her "a little strange".
In July, the Super Bass rapper accused the singer-songwriter's manager, Terrence 'Punch' Henderson, of bullying her in a comment posted via X.
SZA, real name Solána Rowe, briefly engaged with Nicki but decided to hop off the platform once the music superstar started hurling insults.
Reflecting on the situation in an interview for the December 2025 issue of GQ magazine, the Saturn star insisted that she doesn't know why the 42-year-old took aim at her.
"I don't know her," she began. "We have no connection to each other. There's no backstory. Like, there was no through-line narrative."
SZA went on to emphasise that she has no professional relationship with Nicki.
"I don't know where it came from," the 35-year-old continued. "That's not even my place to correct a narrative that I don't got s**t to do with. It was a little strange. It was very like, 'Why?' But also, you know, 'I guess.'"
Representatives for Nicki have not yet responded to the comments.
Elsewhere in the chat, SZA also reflected on being dragged into the beef between Kendrick Lamar and Drake.
"It was something between two grown-a*s men, so why would I insert myself between something between two grown-a*s men, you know?" she sighed. "And I feel like that's how everybody felt - with the exception of people who didn't feel that way. I didn't really have any stake, per se."
