Round one of the TSSAA playoffs kicked off Thursday night and we had several local teams in action.

Sequatchie County turned an early 14-0 first quarter lead into a 41-7 win over Brainerd. The Indians will face the winner of Friday's game between Meigs County and Jackson County next week in round two.

Meanwhile, Hixson was able to get within one point against White County in the second half, but the Warriors were able to hang on for the 20-14 win. The Wildcats finish the year 5-6.
