There's a specific way you play if you're an Appalachian Eagle.

“When you’re wearing the blue and white, you just know you got to be physical,” Eli Beard, a senior left guard, said.

Beard knows that culture all too well.

“My dad played here, my uncles played here, my grandfather played here,” Beard said.

Now, Beard and this Eagles team have done something that no one in his family or any other Eagle has done. This year's team went a perfect 10-0 in the regular season.

“We have the best record now, so I can kind of showboat that with all my uncles and my dad and my grandpa," Beard said.

It's the first time in Appalachian history that the team has gone perfect in the regular season.
