Champion NBA coach Erik Spoelstra’s Miami home was engulfed in flames, as seen in local news broadcasts that showed first responders battling a massive fire Thursday.
Property records show that the home — a single-family residence in the area of Davis Road and Ponce De Leon Road — belongs to Spoelstra, according to NBC Miami.
The NY Post reports firefighters found “two structures on the property fully involved” in fire, and called for back up. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said they were called to a fire at around 4:36am.
“Due to a partial collapse, units switched to a defensive attack, and are still working to extinguish the fire,” fire rescue said.
Spoelstra arrived at his home shortly after the Heat’s plane landed in Miami early on Thursday morning following a 122-112 loss to the Nuggets
