BROOKINGS, S.D. (Dakota News Now) -South Dakota State led for a majority of its contest against Dakota State on Thursday, Nov. 6, however the Trojans hung tough in a 68-62 victory for the Jackrabbits in First Bank and Trust Arena.

Dakota State held the lead for the opening eight minutes of the night and at one point was up 15-9. SDSU responded with a 13-0 scoring run. It was capped by a Kalen Garry 3-pointer to put the Jackrabbits ahead 22-15 at 9:34 mark of the first half. The Trojans cut the deficit to one on two occasions, and briefly held a 33-32 advantage, before the Jacks countered. Another Garry 3-pointer and a trey by Jaden Jackson made it 38-33 at halftime.
