A strong cold front will bring gusty winds, periods of rain, and a taste of winter weather to central Pennsylvania this weekend.

Winds will gradually diminish this evening, but a southerly flow will ramp up again on Friday, with gusts up to 40 mph. Scattered showers are expected Friday afternoon through Friday night as the cold front moves through, with rainfall amounts generally less than a half-inch. Temperatures will reach the 50s on Friday, around 10 degrees above normal for early November.

The real winter chill arrives this weekend, with the coldest air of the season so far. High temperatures on Sunday and Monday will only reach the 30s, with overnight lows in the 20s. Blustery winds will make it feel even colder, with wind chills in the teens and 20s.
