Western Sydney star recruit Kosta Barbarouses has urged the Wanderers to find a way to break through for their first win after snatching a dramatic away draw against Macarthur.

After Harrison Sawyer's opening-minute goal put Macarthur in front, Wanderers defender Anthony Pantazopoulos snatched an equaliser in the 82nd minute at Campbelltown Stadium.

The Wanderers are winless after the opening three games (two draws, one loss) and face a tough trip to Adelaide on Friday.

"Poor start, really, from us, considering we knew we had to come out fast and we probably did the opposite," Barbarouses told Paramount Plus.

"...We did well to claw ourselves back in - probably left it a little bit too late."
