LAWRENCE — The next chapter in the series between Kansas basketball and North Carolina will play out Friday in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.

Both teams will enter the game 1-0 after winning their respective regular-season openers. Both are in the top 25, KU at No. 19 and UNC at No. 25. And it’ll be the first time these two programs have faced off since early last season, when the Jayhawks won 92-89 in Lawrence.

Kansas coach Bill Self said he has watched that game from the 2024-25 season back and thinks they can use it to analyze how certain individuals played — such as how North Carolina senior guard Seth Trimble got downhill then and could again this week.
