Three men have been charged with murder after a child killer was found dead in his prison cell.

Officers were called to the category A jail HMP Wakefield at 8.25am on Wednesday (November 5), West Yorkshire Police (WYP) said.

The man who died was 33-year-old Kyle Bevan, the Prison Service has confirmed.

He was jailed for life for murdering his partner’s two-year-old daughter Lola James in Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, in 2020.

Mark Fellows, 45, Lee Newell, 56, and David Taylor, 63, all white British men, have now been charged with murder, WYP said.

They have been remanded into custody and are due to appear at Leeds Magistrates’ Court this morning (Friday, November 7).
