Zarine Khan, the beloved mother of actors Zayed Khan and Sussanne Khan, passed away at the age of 81 on Friday due to age-related health issues. She died at her home in Mumbai, leaving behind her husband, Sanjay Khan, and their four children: Sussanne, Simone Arora, Farah Ali Khan, and Zayed Khan. Reports indicate that Zarine had been unwell for some time before her passing.

Zarine, who was known as Zarine Katrak before her marriage, had a brief career in Bollywood, featuring in films like "Tere Ghar Ke Saamne" and "Ek Phool Do Mali." She met Sanjay Khan at a bus stop, and the couple married in 1966. After stepping away from acting, Zarine found success as an interior designer and authored a cookbook titled "Family Secret."

Her daughter, Farah Ali Khan, shared a heartfelt tribute on social media, celebrating her mother's many qualities. She described Zarine as "kind, caring, generous, loving, strong, loyal, family-oriented, and supportive." Farah expressed her gratitude, stating, "I am so blessed mamma to be your daughter and to have you be my guiding light."

Friends and colleagues from the film industry have begun to pay their respects at Zarine's residence. Notable figures such as Shabana Azmi, Bobby Deol, Neelam Kothari, Rakul Preet Singh, and Jackky Bhagnani were seen arriving to offer their condolences.

Zarine was also known for her close relationship with her former son-in-law, Hrithik Roshan. Despite Sussanne and Hrithik's divorce in 2014, Zarine maintained that Hrithik would always be part of the family, referring to him as her "son." She often praised Hrithik's character, stating he could have been a "great spiritual leader" due to his gentle nature.

Zarine Khan's legacy will be remembered through her family and the impact she had on those around her. Her passing marks a significant loss for her loved ones and the entertainment industry.
