Sky has dropped the electrifying first trailer for an upcoming prequel series to one of their most acclaimed dramas.

Gomorrah – The Origins is set to arrive in early 2026 and will reveal the shocking backstory of how Pietro Savastano, originally played by Fortunato Cerlino, rose to become one of Naples' most infamous crime lords.

The original Italian crime series ran from 2014-2021 and became one of Sky's biggest international successes, achieving global popularity after broadcasting in 190 countries.

Now, emerging talent Luca Lubrano takes on Pietro's role in a six-episode origin tale beginning in 1977.
