Goodwill is making it easier for people to donate food to help people during the holiday season who are facing insecurity.

Goodwill of Middle Georgia and the CSRA, in partnership with Golden Harvest Food Bank, is now accepting nonperishable food donations, according to a news release by Goodwill. Those donations will be accepted through Dec. 31.

Donors can drop off food items along with gently used goods at donation centers throughout the Augusta area. The most needed items are non-perishable foods such as canned proteins (tuna, chicken, beans), vegetables, rice, pasta, peanut butter, and cereal, according to the release.
