Results are in for this week's Montgomery Advertiser's boys and girls Athlete of the Week polls, sponsored by The Vance Law Firm. The two winners for the week of Oct. 27-31 are winning the polls for the first time during the Alabama high school fall sports season.

Pike Road quarterback Gunner Gibbs earned the win for the boys poll for the results from Oct. 27-31 for the first time this year. Montgomery Catholic's Joi McGuire also collected her first win in the polls. McGuire becomes the fifth girl athlete from Montgomery Catholic to win the poll.

McKay won with 68.36% of the votes. McGuire grabbed 54.69% of the girls votes.
