The North Carolina Tar Heels men's basketball team continues its 2025-26 season against the Kansas Jayhawks on Friday, Nov. 7 (7 p.m., ESPN ), in a top-25 matchup at the Smith Center in Chapel Hill.

The 25th-ranked Tar Heels (1-0) and 19th-ranked Jayhawks (1-0) are playing on Roy Williams Court for the first time in the history of the blue-blood programs. Kansas has won five straight against UNC, including the 2022 national championship game. The Tar Heels are aiming for their first victory in the series since 2002.

UNC opened the regular season with a rout of Central Arkansas after splitting a pair of preseason exhibition games, losing vs. No. 8 BYU in Utah before a rout of Division II foe Winston-Salem State in Chapel Hill.
