At the same time, US Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick justified US tariffs on India, which included a 25 per cent penalty for buying Russian oil on top of reciprocal tariffs of 25 per cent , by saying that Trump was using the taxes to buy justice and end the Russia-Ukraine war.
