We finally get a break from the wind over the next few days. Sure, there's still a steady breeze, but the strong gusts have been weeded out of the forecast — for now.

Our focus is on getting out of the cold temperatures Friday morning and back into the 50s during the afternoon. Tall order, but the next weather system will hurry things along. Some clouds will move in as well, so it will still feel chilly Friday afternoon.

The weekend isn't half bad. Showers come in Friday night, with a few leftover sprinkles early Saturday morning as the warmer air returns. Highs are expected to push 60 (or better) by afternoon. Showers with the next system will wait until after dark on Sunday, but we slump back to the mid-50s.
