New Delhi, Nov 7: A major tragedy was averted in the national capital on Thursday evening after a Mercedes car suddenly caught fire at a traffic signal near Tara Apartment crossing. A 38-year-old woman and her five-year-old child, who were inside the vehicle, were rescued safely by alert Delhi Police personnel.
The incident occurred around 5:30 pm when the car, waiting at a red light, suddenly went up in flames. Witnesses said smoke began to rise from the engine before the fire rapidly spread to other parts of the vehicle.
According to officials, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Ratan Lal Meena, Constable Rahul, and a traffic police officer stationed nearby acted swiftly, rushing to pull the woman and her child out of the burning car. The team immediat
