EVANSVILLE — The only glimpses of the U.S. Supreme Court that most Americans get come through courtroom sketches — but Evansville lawyer Josh Claybourn saw a lot more than that Wednesday.

Claybourn wasn't one of the lead litigators before the High Court, making oral arguments over the legality of the tariffs President Donald Trump is using to raise revenue, spur manufacturing and exert political pressure on other countries. Given its potential to change global trade, it has been called the most high-impact case of the court's current term.
