NAPOLEON, MI — One dog rescued from a fatal house fire in Napoleon has found a new home, while the second is expected to be available soon for adoption.
A Beagle and a German Shepherd were found following the fire that killed their owners Sandra M. Miracle, 76, and her daughter Susan M. Miracle, 50, on Oct. 26 .
The Beagle, named Faith, was seen circling the remains of the house before Jackson County Animal Control captured her using a live trap, Shelter Director Lydia Sattler said.
Faith showed no physical injuries but appeared to be traumatized by the incident, she said. Believing she would do better in a home, the shelter had adopted her to a family in Charlotte on Oct. 31.
