(CNN) - The ongoing government shutdown may soon spark widespread travel-related headaches.
United Airlines has announced it will preemptively cancel roughly 200 flights for Friday; that breaks down to about 4% of the carrier’s planned schedule.
Delta Air Lines is also canceling around 170 regional and mainline flights on Friday.
Southwest will cancel about 100 flights.
American Airlines said the company is planning to reduce its schedule by more than 200 flights daily from Friday to Monday.
The Trump administration is planning a 10% reduction in air traffic at 40 high-volume airports starting Friday.
