The Greens have hit a record high in a new opinion poll as the party’s surge in support under new leader Zack Polanski continues.

It comes after the party’s membership overtook the Tories for the first time and is a further indication of the dramatic shift in public opinion away from the mainstream political parties.

What does the new poll say?

The poll, by Find Out Now, puts the Greens on 18%, still 15 points behind Reform but ahead of the Tories, Labour and the Lib Dems.

It also showed that the Greens are now the most popular party with under-40s, ahead of Reform in second place.
