Agartala, 7 th November 2025: Power Minister Ratan Lal Nat today said that the patriotic hymn “Vande Mataram” composed 150 years ago, continues to resonate in the hearts of crores of Indians with the same emotion and rhythm even today.
While speaking at celebrating 150 years of Vande Mataram at Muktadhara Auditorium, Minister described “Vande Mataram” as not merely a poem or song, but a mantra that symbolizes India’s national consciousness, unity, and sacrifice.
He said the world’s best devotional mantra, Vande Mataram, was composed in 1875 in devotion to the motherland by Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay and later featured in his novel Anandamath in 1882.
