FOXBOROUGH - The Patriots own the worst red zone defense in the league.

That’s not the type of distinction they’re looking for.

On Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons had three trips inside the red zone and scored three touchdowns.

Following the 24-23 win over the Falcons, Patriots coach Mike Vrabel identified it as an issue that needed to be addressed.

On the year, the Patriots have allowed 15 touchdowns in 20 opponent trips inside the red zone (75%) which is dead last in the NFL.

Patriots acting defensive coordinator and play caller Zak Kuhr, meanwhile, mapped out how the problem was going to be addressed.
