A woman’s failed attempt to rob a jewellery shop in Ahmedabad has gone viral after CCTV footage captured the dramatic moment the alert shopkeeper foiled her plan and retaliated within seconds.

The incident occurred at a jewellery store in the Ranip area of Ahmedabad. The woman, with her face partially covered by a dupatta, sat in front of the shopkeeper pretending to be a customer before suddenly throwing chilli powder at him in an apparent bid to rob the shop.

However, the shopkeeper dodged the attack immediately, caught hold of her, and, in a fit of anger, slapped her repeatedly, around 17 times in 20 seconds, before pushing her out of the shop.
