CHIKKAMAGALUR: A 75-year-old senior doctor, who had been missing for four days after he went on a morning walk at Gubbagadde village in Koppa taluk was tracked down and located by a police dog squad.
Venkategowda had gone for a walk on November 2 and got lost in the Gunavante forest. His family had filed a missing person’s complaint with the Koppa police station, and a search operation was launched.
Despite searching the surrounding villages and forests, no clues were found. The police then sought the help of the dog squad, which tracked Venkategowda’s scent with the help of his dhoti and located him in the Gunavante forest, about 5 km away from his home.
