The Ministry of Mines joined nationwide celebrations on Friday to mark the 150th anniversary of India’s National Song, ‘Vande Mataram,’ an anthem that inspired the country’s freedom struggle and continues to evoke a strong sense of unity and national pride.

Piyush Goyal, Secretary of the Ministry of Mines, led officers and staff in a mass rendition of the song at Shastri Bhawan, New Delhi.

Employees from all sections and divisions of the Ministry participated enthusiastically, reflecting patriotic fervour and collective spirit.

As part of the commemoration, the Ministry also set up a ‘Vande Mataram Selfie Point’ at Shastri Bhawan, where officials and visitors captured selfies to celebrate the occasion and share their pride.
