The major airlines around the U.S. are already scrambling to make changes as the Federal Aviation Administration cutbacks have begun. American Airlines has started to pivot in more ways than one. The airline was also impacted by a major U.S. airport closing TSA checkpoints .
The likes of Southwest Airlines are also pivoting in recent days, as some of its busiest airports were added to the FAA's list of flight reductions , including Denver International Airport, a mainstay for Southwest Airlines and other major U.S. carriers.
On Thursday, delay issues had already started to pile up, hitting record numbers for November.
