In China, a tech company has come up with a glittering way to reward its employees by gifting them solid gold keycaps. The Shenzhen-based firm Insta360 has been following this unique tradition for the past four years, turning Programmer’s Day into a celebration of real gold rewards.

This year, the company handed out 21 gold keycaps to top-performing staff members, as per the South China Morning Post (SCMP). The heaviest one, the spacebar key, weighed 35.02 grams and was worth about 320,000 yuan (around Rs 39 lakh). Employees say these golden gifts are not only valuable but also a fun way to celebrate their hard work.
