PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — As the government shut down drags on, the effects are rippling through the nation’s airports, including here in New England.
TF Green in Warwick had five canceled flights as of 6 a.m. Friday, but no delayed trips.
Logan International Airport in Boston is seeing 38 cancelations this morning and 20 delays.
Rhode Island Airport Corporation spokesperson Bill Fischer commented on how TF Green is prepping for potential Logan travelers looking toward Warwick to make their trips:
We are working with every airline that services PVD to understand local impacts. Each airline will have to make independent decisions on how they will operate. Every airport in the country will likely be impacted by this situation in some manner.
