Director Paran Bawa makes an attempt to bring back the nineties flavour in his comedy-drama - 'Jassi Weds Jassi'. The era, which seems almost bygone in the times of numerous apocalyptic sci-fi shows, spy-dramas and pyschological-thrillers is nostalgic to millennials. However, very few filmmakers and writers have the lan to depict old-school romance, like Sooraj Barjatya and the late Yash Chopra. 'Jassi Weds Jassi' has all the ingredients of a light-hearted family-drama with a blend of romance and humour. Does the film do justice to the genre or ends up introducing forced humour, stereotypes and repetitive clichs of romance and melodrama?
