AMES — Baseball is a game of failure, and that’s a lesson that Iowa State football wide receiver Chase Sowell reminded himself of Tuesday afternoon.
For the East Carolina transfer, this season hasn’t gone according to plan, after all.
He spent the early part of the season trying to return to form after dealing with an injury suffered during fall camp. The Cyclones now sit at a disappointing 5-4 – with only two wins against Big 12 opponents – less than a year after playing in the conference championship game.
So, Sowell finds comfort in the world of baseball.
