The Indianapolis Colts bolstered their ranks at Tuesday’s trade deadline. While sitting at 7-2, the AFC South team wasn’t content with the state of their defense, and went out to land a remarkable cornerback.
The Colts landed Sauce Gardner from the New York Jets in exchange for their 2026 and 2027 first-round picks and wide receiver Adonai Mitchell. Head coach Shane Steichen revealed that Gardner was in concussion protocol since he was still with the Jets, but the defender is expected to play on Sunday.
Indianapolis will travel to Berlin to take on the Atlanta Falcons, a team eager to turn its season around amid a campaign full of inconsistency. This move was big for the Colts, as it sent a clear message to the rest of the league.
