A Kashmiri doctor working at a private hospital in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested for allegedly putting up posters in support of the banned militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) in Srinagar.
The doctor, identified as Adil Ahmed from Anantnag district, was traced during an investigation launched by the Srinagar Police after several pro-JeM posters surfaced at different locations in the city.
According to officials, CCTV footage showed Ahmed affixing the posters, following which a police team from Srinagar, assisted by local authorities and the Special Operations Group, conducted a raid at a private hospital on Ambala Road in Saharanpur on Thursday and detained him.
