Samson was one of those dogs. This gentle pup longed for the warmth and security of a home. Each time he watched another dog leave the shelter with a new family, his heart grew heavier.

Still, he held on, wondering how much longer he’d have to wait before he could finally wrap his paws around someone who would never let go.

A Missed Meeting

Samson was one of twenty puppies rescued from the same household and brought to Benton Franklin Humane Society in Kennewick, Washington.
