The A453 Remembrance Way

An A-road connecting Nottingham to the M1 has been closed after a lorry overturned.

The A453 Remembrance Way is currently closed southbound between the A52 near Wilford and the M1 junction 24 near Kegworth.

National Highways East Midlands announced at 12.41pm today (Friday, November 7) that traffic was being diverted on the approach.

The statement reads: "The A453 in Nottinghamshire is closed southbound between the A52 near Wilford and the M1 J24 near Kegworth due to an overturned lorry.

"Traffic on approach is being diverted. Please plan ahead if travelling in the area this afternoon."
