The newly re-launched Montgomery River Region Chapter of the Alabama Minority GOP will host its official Kick-Off Reception on Friday, Nov. 7, from 6 to 8 p.m. at The 1616 House in Montgomery.

The event will celebrate the achievements of the Honorable Belinda Thomas — the first African American female elected to the Newton City Council — in recognition her lifelong dedication to empowering minority farming communities across Alabama.
