Jack Rudoni has taken a major step towards being back fit for Coventry City, when he was out on the grass at Ryton for the first time today (Friday) since suffering a calf strain.

The Sky Blues star – one of the team’s best players – has been missing for eight games and will again be absent for this weekend’s top-of-the-table clash at Stoke . But there’s clear light at the end of the recovery tunnel, with the 24-year-old on course for a return when Frank Lampard’s men host West Bromwich Albion in the first match back after the international break.
