Visibility is poor in areas of Calgary Friday morning due to fog, prompting an advisory from Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC).

The alert remained in effect as of 7:45 a.m.

Periods of rain or snow this morning are also possible, with a risk of freezing rain.

ECCC says the fog is expect to dissipate later in the morning.

Drivers are advised to use caution on the roads.
