GRAND RAPIDS, MI — Steelcase President and CEO Sara Armbruster said she and other longtime executives will leave the company following its $2.2 billion acquisition by HNI Corp.
After nearly 20 years with the office furniture giant, Armbruster will depart with the closing of the acquisition in early December, according to a letter filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
“This is an important moment in our company’s story,” Armbruster stated in the letter. “Times of change can bring mixed emotions, yet they also create opportunities for growth and shared success. What has always defined Steelcase is the strength of our people, the depth of our relationships, and our commitment to helping the world work better.”
