The Government of Canada has issued a new travel advisory for the Philippines, warning travellers of a possible safety risk.

On Nov. 6, Canada published an update for its travel advice for the Philippines , and travellers are urged to “exercise a high degree of caution.” The advisory notes that a powerful typhoon is expected to hit the country.

“Tropical Storm Fung-Wong is expected to make landfall on Luzon as a typhoon on Nov. 10, 2025,” reads the statement. “The storm is likely to bring excessive rainfall and violent winds.”
