Beed. Union Minister for Agriculture, Farmers’ Welfare, and Rural Development, Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan, addressed a gathering of over 20,000 farmers at the Global Vikas Trust Krishikul in Sirsala, Beed district. During the event, he assured farmers that every rupee of crop insurance will be paid under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana and affirmed that, if required, a special relief package would be provided for affected farmers in Maharashtra.
Highlighting the government’s focus on agricultural resilience, Shri Chouhan stressed the need to develop climate-resilient seeds and promote natural and sustainable farming. He also announced plans to introduce a Bill against fake fertilisers, seeds, and pesticides in the upcoming Budget Session.
